大三下刚放春假时,我到梁哥哥在新店的家,硕平姐匆忙来告诉我们爸爸病重了。我搭当晚夜车奔向高雄,看到爸微弱无奈的躺在床上,一个一向钢强的人无助的看着我。他看到我难过,他自己也很内疚。不久,子疰带着雷志荣医师来看爸爸,雷医师走后, 爸很不高兴的发了脾气,显然是因为对雷医师不满,再加上自己着急。到了下午我们商量后经过爸妈的同意,决定送爸到民众诊疗院。于是,妈忙着收拾东西,我背着爸从家里上了何司机的车,到医院后再背着爸,送到二楼病床。当晚爸要我写信把病情告诉荣总的耳鼻喉科主任医师荣大夫,从此爸就无法再开口讲话了,也没能够离开医院回到家里了。荣大夫也没有回信。那时是1973年4月。
